La Cala - Europa Course Costa del Sol NorthThe Third Course - Campo Europa - was opened in March 2005. The fairways are generous from the tees and the greens are slightly larger than on the existing courses. They are not severely contoured but are well bunkered and will be easier for the average golfer. The par 71 course measures 6014 metres. There is one main bridge that measures 45 metres and four smaller bridges over the river. The design also features four tunnels for golf carts and maintenance machinery. The 14th is at the maximum limit of what is allowed for a par 3 at 233 metres. The 11th is the longest hole. The par 5 measures 524 metres. It is the location for the only David Leadbetter Academy in Spain, which offers lessons and group classes for both beginners and experienced players, with multilingual professionals on hand to improve your game. Situated beside the six hole par 3 ‘executive’ course, the academy has a grass driving range, top-class instruction facilities including video analysis and a high-tech putting studio. In addition there are putting and chipping facilities. There is a large putting green situated beside the clubhouse and a separate green with two sand bunkers for short game practice and a driving net. The 19th Hole (Hoyo 19) is the favoured meeting place before and after a round, offering breakfast, lunch and evening meals as well as snacks throughout the day. There is an extensive range of drinks available and you can choose to sit in the air-conditioned lounge or on the ample, shaded terrace overlooking the 18th hole of Campo Asia. Important InfoSoft Spikes must be worn on all courses.
