Ireland has long being known as one of the top destinations in the world for golf with a variety of parkland golf courses available. Mount Juliet has recently been voted Best Parkland Golf Course in Ireland by Backspin Golf Magazine, March 2008. This is not the first time that Mount Juliet Golf Course has been given such high praise, as Mount Juliet Golf Course won Irish Golf Tour Operators Association Golf Course of the year for 2003. Mount Juliet Golf Course also received international recognition and acclaim for it's hosting of the 2002 and 2004 American Express World Golf Championships, which were won by Tiger Woods and Ernie Els.
